GeDOS
GeDos is an ICT educational design
project that took place from November 2000 untill November 2002. In
this project highschool teachers designed educational applications
with the software program SimQuest.
SimQuest enables you to make computer simulations
for your courses. Teacher have made simulations for instance in the
area of physics (forces and motion, radioactivity, and electricity),
chemical science (dynamic of reaction processes, thermodynamics, and
chemical math), biology (metabolism), economics (macro-economic
systems, cost price calculations), and geography (population growth,
transport).
A total of four simulations were developed in this project (click on the link to jump to the description on this page):
You can find more information about GeDOS on the project

Gaswet
About the Gay-Lussac gas laws. All interfaces are about the relationship between volume, pressure, temperature and amount of moles of gas. Click on the images to enlarge them (a new window will open)

Pyrex
The simulation helps students understand what happens during a first order chemical reaction. The effects of temperature and concentration on the reaction speed and final concentrations are discussed.

Rolwrijving
Engine power, frontal area, mass of the vehicle and friction constant of the road surface are some of the variables in this simulation.
